North Vernon man accused of child molesting

A North Vernon man is being accused of sex crimes against children.

According to the Jennings County Sheriff’s Department, two victims came forward with reports of sexual abuse and during an interview at a child advocacy center they revealed information about criminal sexual acts.

Police took 48-year-old Michael Kuhlman into custody and he allegedly admitted details confirming the allegations, and also admitted to providing methamphetamine and alcohol to the juveniles.

He was arrested on felony counts of child molesting, incest, sexual battery and dealing in methamphetamine.

Police say that the investigation is ongoing but further details will not be released in part to protect the privacy of the victims.
