North Vernon man arrested for child sex abuse materials
A North Vernon Man has been Arrested for Child Sex Abuse Material.
Detectives with the Jennings County Sheriff’s Office received a cybertip, in early July through National Center for Exploited or Missing Children , that a North Vernon man was receiving and distributing Child Sex Abuse Material. During the investigation by JCSO detectives, enough Probable Cause was established to detain Randy Porter of North Vernon.
On Wednesday, officers located Porter riding a motorcycle and initiated a traffic stop and detained him for detectives. Detectives arrived at the scene and took Porter into their custody. During a search of Mr. Porter’s person, Methamphetamine was also located.Randy Porter was transported to the Jennings County Sheriff’s Office for further interview.
While Porter was being interviewed; a search warrant was executed at his primary residence and Detectives retrieved multiple electronic devices that contained Child Sex Abuse Material. During the interview, Porter admitted to possessing and distributing Child Sex Abuse Material.
Porter was booked into the Jennings County Jail on the preliminary charges of:
Child Exploitation, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Invasion of Privacy.
Porter is being held at the Jennings County Jail on a $10,055 full cash bond. Further charges against Mr. Porter could be added as the investigation continues.
