North Vernon Police say that they arrested a man last week after a domestic battery incident involving a gun.

According to the police department, officers were originally called to the North Terrace Apartments about a possibly suicidal woman at about 10:45 p.m. on Wednesday. They also received information that a man inside the home could be armed with a gun.

Police say that the investigation led to the arrest of Theodore Dudzik on preliminary charges of being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Domestic Battery, Strangulation, and Interference with the Reporting of a Crime.

He was taken to the Jennings County Jail.

The Jennings County Sheriff’s Department also assisted.
