Seymour man arrested in North Vernon meth dealing investigation

North Vernon police say that they have made an arrest in a complex methamphetamine dealing operation.

According to the North Vernon Police Department Narcotics Task Force, an investigation on North Buckeye Street in North Vernon uncovered more than 10+ grams of methamphetamine, evidence of a suspected mobile methamphetamine lab and drug paraphernalia. That led to a search warrant for a home in Seymour.

North Vernon officers, Jennings County deputies and a canine officer, Indiana State Police and the Indiana State Police Meth Lab team and Seymour police served the warrant.

27-year-old Tristan Lemarr of Seymour was arrested on preliminary charges including dealing in, possessing and manufacturing methamphetamine, as well as for possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Task Force Commander Graham Heffelfinger explained that “Mobile methamphetamine labs are extremely dangerous, not only to those involved in their operation, but to surrounding residents and first responders due to the risk of toxic exposure, fire, and explosion.” He also recognized Trooper Ayers with the state police meth lab team for “safely dismantling the lab and mitigating those hazards.”
