State Rep. Meltzer wins primary challenge; Lauer, Lucas unopposed

State Rep. Jennifer Meltzer won her primary challenge for the District 73 seat in yesterday’s Republican primary.
According to unofficial vote totals, Meltzer won 66.73 percent over her opponent Edwark Comstock’s 33.4 percent for the seat which represents parts of Bartholomew, Jennings, Shelby and Decatur counties.
Meltzer will face Democrat A.J. Miller in the November General Election. Miller was unopposed yesterday.
Republican Representatives Ryan Lauer, of Columbus, and Jim Lucas, of Seymour, were unopposed in yesterday’s primary elections.
No Democrat has filed to run against Lauer in District 59 and Lucas will face Democrat Chris Bowen in the fall for the District 69 seat.
