State Road 45 in Brown County closing until June

State Road 45 in Brown County will soon be closing until this summer as crews work on a bridge there.

According to the Indiana Department of Transportation, contractors will be closing the bridge over Brier Creek on Monday, March 30th to complete a bridge deck overlay project. That will close the state highway about 4.5 miles west of State Road 135 near Trevlac.

The official detour will take drivers State Road 135 and State Road 46.

State Road 45 is expected to reopen in late June. The work schedule is dependent on the weather.

Dave O’Mara Contractors will be doing the work on the project.
