State Road 46 bridge work to tie up Brown County traffic

You could see traffic tie ups on State Road 46 in Brown County through most of April as crews work to replace a drainage structure there.

According to INDOT, work on the project between Lower Schooner Road and Shipley Hollow Road is expected to start Wednesday, April 1st. The road will be reduced to a single lane and temporary traffic signals will be in place. The work is expected to be complete by late April, but the schedule is dependent on the weather.

This project is part of a $4.3 million contract awarded to Morphey Construction.
