State Road 7 closing Friday night in North Vernon
State Road 7 will be closing over the weekend for a bridge repair project over the CSX Railroad in Jennings County.
According to INDOT, the work will be going on between Hayden Pike and Washington Street in North Vernon, starting Friday evening and lasting through Monday morning. The work schedule is dependent on the weather.
Contractors will be completing a bridge deck overlay project that will require closing the highway, or State Street. The official detour route will take Old U.S. 50 west to U.S. 50 and then back to State Road 7. Pedestrian access will be maintained over the railroad while work is in progress.
Enneking Pressure Cleaning, Inc. will be the contractor for the work.
INDOT reminds you to slow down, to drive without distractions and to use extra caution to worker safety in all work zones.
