State Road 7 closing Friday until early June

A portion of State Road 7 between Vernon and Dupont is scheduled to close on Friday so contractors can complete a box culvert replacement project.

According to INDOT, the closure will be between County Road 300S and County Road 500S in Jennings County. A detour will take State Road 3 to State Road 256 to State Road 56/62 and then back to State Road 7.

State Road 7 is expected to reopen in early June. The work schedule is dependent on the weather.
