Thrive Alliance welcomes new executive director

Thrive Alliance has a new executive director for its senior and disability services.

The non profit group announced recently that Amber Scherer has been chosen to lead the organization’s area agency on aging. She began at Thrive Alliance as a case manager and brings more than 17 years of experience in aging and disability services. She has been serving as interim director of the group.

Thrive Alliance’ Area 11 Agency on Aging serves Bartholomew, Brown, Decatur, Jackson, and Jennings counties. It provides adult guardianship, aging and disability resources, care management, dementia care programs, family caregiver support and health and wellness programs.

Scherer will work alongside Kevin Johnson, executive director of Housing Partnerships.
