Timeline extended for incoming storm with winter storm warning into Monday

Forecasters are extending the timeline for the incoming arctic blast of cold weather.

The National Weather Service in Indianapolis is has extended the winter storm warning from noon on Saturday through Monday morning. According to the agency, heavy snow is expected in our area with accumulations of 6 to 10 inches.

A cold weather advisory is in effect from 7 p.m. tonight until noon on Saturday with wind chills of -10 expected. The extremely cold temperatures are expected to last into Tuesday with a low of -3 on Monday night.
