Town of Hope issues boil water advisory

The town of Hope has issued a boil water advisory after a disruption in the water distribution system Tuesday.

According to the town, the incident began with a water outage in Goshen Meadows, Liberty Place and at Miller’s Merry Manor. After a pipe was replaced and water service was restored, the town issued the boil water advisory for all residents.

Under a boil water advisory, you should bring water to a full boil for three to five minutes before drinking it or using it in food preparation.

The boil water advisory is in effect until 2 a.m. on Saturday morning while crews disinfect the system and laboratory testing confirms the water is safe for consumption.
