Toyota employees devote volunteer time for community projects

Toyota Material Handling workers put in more than 2,100 hours of volunteer time during a recent day of service to communities in three states.

The Columbus based forklift company announced that during the company’s Lift the Community Day last month that 280 Toyota associates volunteered on 40 projects with 30 local organizations across three states. The company also contributed project supplies valued at $16,750.

Danielle Nickerson, Corporate Social Responsibility Manager at Toyota Material Handling said that the Lift the Community Day is an opportunity for the company workers to “step away from our daily responsibilities and contribute to something bigger than ourselves.”
