Trump throws support to Walker primary opponent for state senate

President Donald Trump is putting his support behind Indiana state Representative Michelle Davis in her bid to defeat state Senator Greg Walker of Columbus in the Republican primary.

Walker was a vocal and early opponent of Trump’s plan to redistrict Indiana and Trump has vowed political revenge against Republicans who defeated the bill. In a social media post, Trump wrote “Walker and his RINO friends made Indiana, a State I love and have been very good to, the only State in the Country that essentially said they don’t care about what happens in the United States Congress. We could have easily picked up two seats in Indiana, so Walker, an America Last politician, put our majority in the House of Representatives at risk”

Trump went on to say that “Michelle will be a fantastic replacement for Walker.”

Walker filed for reelection earlier this month after saying last year he was not going to seek another term.
