U.S. 50 bridge work to tie up traffic until July

A bridge repair project on U.S. 50 near Brownstown is expected to tie up traffic in Jackson County until late July.

According to the Indiana Department of Transportation, the work is set to begin Monday March 30th on U.S. 50 west of Brownstown on a bridge near East Fork White River. During the work, U.S. 50 will be reduced to a single lane and temporary traffic signals will be in place.

E&B Paving will be doing the work on the project, which is part of a $6.8 million contract.
