Work starting today on Columbus City Hall ramps

You are going to see work underway at the front of Columbus City Hall for the next few months, as contractors install new accessibility ramps for the building.

According to the city engineering office, the work is starting today and will be going on for about two months as crews install ADA-compliant ramps at the local government building. City officials say that the goal is to improve accessibility, to enhance safety and to ensure that public facilities are welcoming for all residents and visitors.

Over the next few months you will see various temporary sidewalk and street closures near the intersection of Second and Washington streets. Officials urge you to use extra caution in the area and to make sure to follow all posted signage in the area, while the work is ongoing. They also say that they appreciate your patience while the project is underway.
