Two arrested in Bartholomew drug investigation

A long-term investigation into drug activity led to two arrests last week by the Bartholomew County Joint Narcotics Enforcement Team.

According to the sheriff’s department, a search warrant was served at a home in the 1300 block of Woodleigh Court last Tuesday. The search uncovered more than 50 grams of cocaine, scales, packaging materials, cash and a loaded firearm

Authorities arrested 26-year-old Hannah Smiley and 31-year-old Justin Dampier, both of Columbus, on preliminary charges of Dealing in Cocaine, Obstruction of Justice, Maintaining a Common Nuisance and Possession of Paraphernalia.
