Air quality could be hazardous for some residents today
The Indiana Department of Environmental Management has declared an Air Quality Action Day for today including parts of our area.
High levels of ground ozone could make it hard to breathe for some people. Children, the elderly, anyone with heart conditions or with respiratory disease, such as asthma, should limit prolonged outdoor exposure today.
The affected area includes Bartholomew, Brown, Decatur, Johnson and Shelby counties.
The warning is in effect until midnight tonight.
