Area communities to see share of state road funding

Indiana Senate District 41 which includes parts of Bartholomew and Johnson counties will receive $3.4 million for road improvements through the states Community Crossings grant fund.

Sen. Greg Walker announced the additional rounds of grants yesterday including:

  • Bartholomew County: $843,500

  • Edinburgh: $103,149

  • Franklin: $910,959

  • Hartsville: $174,722

  • Johnson County: $592,000

  • Princes Lakes: $198,641

  • Trafalgar: $577,927

Since 2016, Community Crossings has awarded more than $2 billion to improve local roads and bridges.
