New leader takes over at Columbus Regional Health

Columbus Regional Health has a new leader, as of today.

Andrew “Andy” Guz, begins his first day as the health systems president and chief executive officer today, taking over from interim and former president and CEO Jim Bickel.

Guz holds a masters of health administration from Cornell University and a bachelor of business administration from Marshall University. He most recently served as CEO of Manatee Health and Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, Florida.

Retired former leader Bickel returned to the role as interim president and chief executive officer in August after the sudden departure of his successor, Steve Baker. Bickel has been with the hospital for 35 years.

Guz, his wife, Tami, and their two daughters have relocated to Columbus.

Guz said he is eager “to get involved in the community and learn more about what makes Columbus so special.”
