Bartholomew Health Dept. offering TDAP vaccine clinics

The Bartholomew County Health Department will be offering a vaccine clinic this week and next to help you prevent whooping cough and lockjaw.

According to health officials, the TDAP vaccine helps prevent both diseases along with diphtheria. Pertussis, or whooping cough, spreads quickly and babies are most at risk. Tetanus, or lockjaw, can spread into everyday cuts and scrapes and can be fatal, once symptoms are apparent.

They urge you to protect yourself, your kids and others in the community with the simple vaccine.

The health department will be hosting TDAP clinics on Thursday and Sept. 30 at their offices on Foxpointe Drive. Those will be from 8:30 a.m. to 4 in the afternoon.
