Celebrations continue with Historical Society Day in Columbus
Today will be Historical Society Day in Columbus as part of the celebration of the 250th anniversary of our country.
The event will be centered on the Bartholomew County Historical Society museum on Third Street where activities will be going on from 4 to 8 p.m. Those will include blacksmith and textile arts demonstrations; children’s activities, colonial food and beverage tasting and live historic American music.
The event is also tied to the monthly First Thursdays events downtown which offers a time to visit downtown businesses which will be staying open late and offering specials. Participating businesses will have red-white-and blue balloons marking the occasion.
