Centra honored for community service with statewide award

Centra Credit Union is being recognized for its community service with an award from a statewide organization.

According to Centra, the Indiana Credit Union League presented the Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Community Service Award earlier this month to the Columbus-based credit union. It recognizes credit unions that demonstrate commitment to social responsibility through impactful community service projects.

Specifically, Centra was honored for its Community Involvement Leadership Program. Under the program team members are encouraged to lead projects that help local non profit groups.

Jenni Carr, Centra’s Director of Community Involvement said she is impressed with the passion and dedication of the credit union’s “Team Members and their willingness to buckle down, get their hands dirty, and give back to our communities in meaningful ways.”
