Seymour police make arrest in community burglaries

Seymour police arrested an Austin man after an investigation into several burglaries and a burglary attempt.

According to the Seymour Police Department, officers were called to the 200 block of South Chestnut Street Friday about a burglary. Police also determined that the suspect attempted to burglarize another location in the neighborhood and took items from a third location in the 400 block of West Tipton Street.

Police obtained a description of the suspect and he was found on West Tipton Street.

After an interview by investigators, 34-year-old Jeremy S. Gibson was arrested on preliminary felony charges of burglary and theft.
