Child sex materials search leads to arrest of Greensburg man

A Greensburg man has been arrested, accused of possessing child sexual abuse materials.

According to the Indiana State Police, the investigation began after the Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force received several cybertips about an internet account that likely possessed the materials. Detectives confirmed the sexual abuse materials and tracked the account ty 33-year-old Chad Bowen of Greensburg.

A search warrant was served in late May in the 1200 block of North Carver Street where the task force was assisted by their police dog Titus, Indiana State Police Digital Forensics Unit, U.S, Department of Homeland Security Investigations and the U.S. Marshals Service.

Bowen was arrested on a felony charge of possessing child sexual abuse materials.

The Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force conducts investigations into reports of child sexual exploitation, enticement by predators, and the production and distribution of child sexual abuse material.
