Work to continue on Third Street overnights

INDOT crews are expected to continue work for the next few nights on Third Street in downtown Columbus.

According to the state agency, crews were scheduled to begin spot paving operations last night on westbound State Road 46/Third Street between Lindsey Street and Central Avenue. The work was expected to take up to three nights, but the work schedule is dependent on the weather.

The work will be going on from 6 p.m. in the evening to 6 a.m. in the morning and lanes will be closed overnight while the work is going on. At least one lane of the westbound State Road 46 will remain open.

INDOT urges you to slow down, to drive without distractions and to be extra cautious to worker safety in all work zones.
