Cleveland-Cliffs recognized for community impact
The Cleveland-Cliffs company has been recognized by the Indiana Manufacturers Association with this year’s Community Impact Award.
The company has a plant in Columbus in the Walesboro area as well as Burns Harbor in northern Indiana.
According to the association, the Community Impact Award recognizes a manufacturing company that has shown exemplary leadership in serving its community or the state and is an example of the involved and giving nature of manufacturers.
Cleveland-Cliffs is the largest producer of flat-rolled steel in North America.
The Manufacturing Excellence awards were announced at the IMA Manufacturing Day Celebration held earlier this month in Indianapolis.
