Community mural painting project starts today at The Commons

You will have a chance to make your mark on a community mural starting today in Columbus.

According to the Columbus Parks and Recreation Department, the interactive community project “Make Your Mark with Parks” will be a chance to help color the mural as it travels to various parks locations over the next few months. They say that you don’t have to have any artistic experience to take part.

The mural was created by local artist Abigail Flout of AbFlo Creative. She said that she grew up in the community playing at and enjoying those park spaces. She said she hopes the mural helps remind the community of those places and inspires people to enjoy them year-round.

The mural will be at The Commons starting at noon today, as part of the Chaotic Tuesdays event.
