A Kentucky man died Thursday evening after a crash on U.S. 31 in Jackson County.
According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, witnesses saw a vehicle speeding and crashing after losing control in the 700 block of North U.S. 31 in Seymour. Rescue workers arrived and found the single vehicle crash. 42-year-old Earl Vaught of California, Kentucky was pronounced dead at the scene by the Jackson County Coroner’s Office.
Investigators determined that the vehicle had been headed southbound on U.S. 31 when the vehicle left the roadway.
