Edinburgh to flush water lines, warns of discolored water
The town of Edinburgh is warning that residents could see some discolored water as utility crews flush water mains starting Sunday.
According to the town, if you experience the discolored water you should allow a cold stream of water to run until the discoloration disappears, which could take up to 10 minutes. The town suggests that you not wash white or light-colored clothes during the day, instead waiting until after 7 p.m. in the evening or the flushing program is completed.
The work is expected to continue through May 19th.
If you continue to have problems with water discoloration you can call the utility office at 812-526-3514.
