Exhibit Columbus Miller Prize to be featured in Evansville gallery

A gallery installation highlighting 10 years of Exhibit Columbus’ J. Irwin and Xenia Miller Prize recipients will be on display in Evansville through April with an opening reception this weekend.

According to the Landmark Columbus Foundation, the New Harmony Gallery of Contemporary Art at the University of Southern Indiana will be hosting the exhibit through April 11th.

The exhibit will feature more than 120 photographs shot by Hadley Fruits. Fruits has been documenting civic life in Columbus for 15 years. It will be broken into five groups, each recognizing a two-year cycle of the Exhibit Columbus programs.

The Miller Prize was established in 2016 to honor Miller, the former head of Cummins, and his wife, whose interest in architecture and design led Columbus to become a major site of modernist architecture. The Prize, awarded during the biennial Exhibit Columbus cycle, focus on design studios that improve urban environments through engagement with communities.

The opening reception will be at 3 p.m. central time Saturday at the gallery.
