Flooding continues on East Fork White River at Seymour through Tuesday

A flood warning continues for East for White River at Seymour.

Moderate flooding continues this morning on the river, but the flooding has crested and is on its way down. This morning the river is at 17.3 feet, just inches above the 17 foot moderate flood level. The river is expected to drop back to minor flooding by this afternoon according to flood gauge estimates.

The river isn’t expected to leave the minor flood stage until Tuesday morning.

Most other flood warnings for our area have ended. East Fork White River at Columbus has dropped below the minor flood level of 9 feet.

Young’s Creek at Amity has dropped below the minor flood level but is expected to rise again to minor flooding by Saturday morning.
