Flooding recedes on East Fork White River at Seymour

A flood warning remains in effect for East Fork White River in Seymour. Minor flooding is forecast and is ongoing.

According to stream gauges, the rivers crested at 13.73 feet overnight Tuesday, and is just above the minor flood level of 12 feet this morning. It should drop below the minor flood stage by early Friday morning.

The flood warning is now in effect until Friday afternoon.

Emergency officials urge you to turn around and don’t drown if you come across a flooded roadway. Must flood deaths occur in vehicles.
