Friday to bring biggest Columbus 250 celebration event at airport

The biggest event of the Columbus Celebrate 250 schedule will be Friday afternoon and evening on Central Avenue on the Columbus Municipal Airport’s Airpark campus with the All American Festival on Central.

Organizers are calling it the biggest street party in Columbus going from 2 p.m. Friday afternoon and lasting past 10 p.m. with a fireworks show. There will be tournaments throughout the day including cornhole, pickleball, disc golf, free throw and three point basketball shooting, a 100m foot race, and Hoosier kubb. There will also be giant sized version of tabletop games.

Performers from the Cincinnati Circus will have their wheel of death back at the airport and there will strolling performers including juggling and fire acts. There will be live music by the Vinyl Escape Band.

Inflatable carnival games will be on hand as well as normal and water bounce houses.

Food trucks and vendors will also be taking part.

You are encouraged to bring a change of clothes and towels for the kids to dry off from the water bounce houses, lawn chairs for the performances and fireworks, sun screen and water bottles.
