Government offices closed for holiday

Today is President’s Day and local government offices will be closed.

In Columbus, normal trash and recycling routes will be running on their normal schedule. The Columbus and Bartholomew County Recycling Center on Mapleton Street will be closed today as well as the Bartholomew County Solid Waste Management District offices.

The Bartholomew County Landfill will be open normal hours today, from 7:30 to 4:30 p.m.

Columbus City Utilities offices are also closed today. If you have a problem with your water or sewer service, you can call 812-372-8861 and follow the prompts.

There will be no mail delivery today.
