Heritage Fund celebrating 50 years of community philanthropy

Heritage Fund — The Community Foundation of Bartholomew County, will be celebrating its 50th anniversary this year with 50 acts of joy and kindness across the community.

Heritage Fund was founded in 1976 and serves as a center for philanthropy for the community, managing gifts and donations and providing leadership to benefit the Bartholomew County community. This year is being promoted at the 50th anniversary Golden “Joy-bilee’

Throughout the year, a group of designated “joy-riders” will deliver mini grants to local organizations, take part in volunteer efforts and offer activities across the community, all in a effort to spread joy.

Among the first Acts of Joy was the delivery of carloads of donations to Sans Souci and treats and toys donated to Columbus Animal Care Services by the Heritage Fund’s office corgi Moon.

You can find out more about the Acts of Joy and the golden anniversary on Heritage Fund’s social media pages, or at heritagefundbc.org.
