Indy man arrested in Jennings County after standoff with gun

An Indianapolis man is under arrest after a domestic violence incident involving a standoff with a gun yesterday in Jennings County.

According to the Jennings County Sheriff’s Department, deputies were called to the incident at about 12:26 p.m. in the afternoon in the 1300 block of North Huckleberry Drive. During an argument a woman said the man held a gun to her head as she tried to leave the scene. She was able to escape and call for help.

The armed man was found sitting in a vehicle outside the home. Chief Deputy Cody Low and Sgt. Thomas Mellencamp negotiated with him for about an hour and a half before he surrendered and was taken into custody.

21-year-old Kean Weston is facing charges of intimidation with a deadly weapon and pointing a firearm.
