Local government offices closing for Memorial Day

Local government offices will be closed on Monday for Memorial Day.

In Columbus, there will be no trash, recycling or yard waste pick ups on Monday. Instead, collections will be running a day late all week with normal Monday routes collected on Tuesday. Normal Friday routes won’t be picked up until Saturday.

Columbus City Utilities offices will also be closed. If you have a problem with your water or sewer service, please call 812-372-8861 and follow the prompts.

The Columbus and Bartholomew County Recycling Center on Mapleton Street and the Bartholomew County Landfill will also be closed. Both will reopen on Tuesday.

In Seymour, there will be no trash or recycling pickups. Instead those will be collected on Tuesday.
