Lottery system to find new Community Garden participants

The city of Columbus will be using a lottery system to assign new users plots in the city’s community garden.

The online signup system is now open for the random drawing for the plots. Those who enter may choose to be considered for a large or small plot, or to be considered for either size.

The city will only be considering lottery entrants who do not currently participate in the Community Garden. That is meant to allow for new participants.

Signups for the lottery are open until March 20th at 5 p.m. Those chosen will be notified and have until April 10th to finish their registration and submit payment.

To take part in the community garden you must live within the Columbus city limits.
