Muscatatuck annual festival returns next weekend
Wings Over Muscatatuck, an annual festival celebrating the birds of Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge is coming up next weekend.
According to organizers with the Muscatatuck Wildlife Society, festivities will be from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 25th at the refuge off which is of U.S. 50 between Seymour and North Vernon.
Events will include birding, activities for children including birdhouse building, art opportunities, Sandhill Crane programs, presentations on raptors, a native plant sale and silent auction. Artists of all skill levels will be able to create a work of art outdoors in natural light capturing the refuge’s natural beauty.
There will also be van tours of the closed areas of the refuge.
A lunch of smoked wings, pulled pork and hot dogs will be available for purchase.
The event is free and you are invited to attend.
