Pedestrian projects to begin next week in Columbus
Construction will start next week on two pedestrian projects in Columbus.
According to the city engineers office, on Wednesday work will start on a new shared use path on the north side of 27th Street between Washington Street and Home Avenue. Intermittent and short-term closures of 27th Street will be ongoing.
Construction is expected to be completed in the fall, weather permitting.
All Star paving is the contractor for that project.
Also on Wednesday, work is expected to start on a new sidewalk on the west side of Marr Road from 25th Street to 32nd Street. Construction is expected to be completed mid-summer.
Force Construction is the contractor for the Marr Road project.
