Nashville police hosting back to school event tonight

Nashville police will be hosting a back to school bash this evening from 6 to 9 p.m. at Deer Run.

The free event will include a Stuff the Bus school supply drive and hot air balloon rides. There will also be a bounce house and local vendors on hand as well as an opportunity to meet with local rescue workers.

Organizers say that among the most needed school supplies are:

  • Kleenex

  • Pencils

  • Hand Sanitizer

  • Markers

  • Crayons

  • Small Plants

  • Expo Markers

  • Post Its

  • Pens

  • Note Pads

  • Earphones

  • Fun Reading Aloud

  • Colored Pencils

  • Inspirational Posters
