Next round of North Vernon hometown heroes to begin in July

North Vernon’s hometown hero banners have been taken down from community light poles and preparations are being made for the next round of the program.

According to the city, the banners have been removed and are now available for pickup at the North Vernon Street Department.

In July, the city will begin taking applications for residents to repurchase banners to honor their loved ones. Those banners will be displayed this year and next.

To schedule a time to pick up an expired banner, you can call the street department at 812-346-1616 or stop by the offices at 350 N. Euler Ct., from 7:30AM to 11:30 a.m. and from noon to 4:00 p.m.
