Chamber hosting first legislative forum this morning

The Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the first legislative preview event of the new year this morning.

According to the chamber, the forum will be a moderated event featuring members of the local delegation of Indiana legislators. the event is a chance for elected officials, business leaders and local residents to have a meaningful dialogue focused on the legislative impacts on the local business community and workforce.

At the end of 2025, the chamber held a survey of its member businesses to identify the issues most affecting their operations.

This is the short biennial session, but there are already more than 560 bills filed for consideration.

The forums will be at 8:30 a.m. in the Cal Brand Meeting Room at Columbus City Hall. A wrap up forum is scheduled for February 23rd.
