North Vernon man accused of drug dealing

A North Vernon man is being accused of dealing in fentanyl after an arrest last week by Jennings County deputies.
According to the Jennings County Sheriff’s Department, deputies had received information on Saturday that someone wanted on a felony warrant was hiding at a home. A search warrant was issued and police served the warrant at around 2 p.m. Saturday afternoon. They discovered drug paraphernalia out in plain site. A second search warrant was issued to search for narcotics and that search collected paraphernalia, methamphetamine and items related to distributing fentanyl. A camper at the site contained 10 individually wrapped packages of fentanyl, deputies say.
The resident of the camper, 32-year-old Mark Warriner, was arrested on preliminary charges of dealing in a narcotic, for possessing the drugs and paraphernalia and for maintaining a common nuisance.
