Planners look for your thoughts on transportation needs

The city of Columbus is looking for your thoughts on the future of transportation in the community.

According to the city-county planning department, the Columbus Area Metropolitan Planning Organization is working to update the county-wide transportation plan. The organization manages the use of federal transportation project funding throughout the county and an updated plan is a requirement for the community to continue receiving federal funds.

This goal is to provide a long-term vision for travel. Your input will help identify needs and priorities for transportation improvement for motorists, cyclists, pedestrians, and bus users.

Planners are asking you to take a brief online survey, or attend a planning open house meeting next week. The open house will be in the Meeting Hall in Columbus City Hall from 4pm to 7pm. on November 19th. You can view the plan at the open house and leave your thoughts.

The online survey will be available until February 1st. You can take the survey here: https://engage.publiccoordinate.com/en/project/campo-mtp
