Rare October heat to stay in area until next week
An October heat wave may bring record highs to the northern Plains and Upper Midwest. Temperatures across the region are expected to be up to 30 degrees higher than normal over the weekend, and some places may even see temperatures climb to the low to mid-90s.
The National Weather Service in Indianapolis says temperatures will remain 10 to 20 degrees above normal in our area with highs in the mid to upper 80s through Monday.
