Red Cross to hold informational meeting this afternoon

The American Red Cross of Indiana will be holding an event this afternoon to update residents on how the agency serves the community.

The agency overview event will be at 3 p.m. at Mill Race Center. The update will include an overview of the Red Cross efforts for disaster relief, blood services and community support programs. The Red Cross also provides support to the Armed Forces, emergency preparedness campaigns and the home fire campaign, to help reduce home fire deaths and injuries.

The American Red Cross was founded in 1881.
