Reminder: Law enforcement memorial service set for Friday in Columbus

A reminder that the annual Bartholomew County Law Enforcement Memorial Service will be held on Friday.

According to the Columbus Police Department, city officers along with Bartholomew County deputies and Indiana State Police will be taking part in the ceremony as part of National Police Week.

This memorial service recognize 115 law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty last year, including 2 from Indiana.

The service will be at 9 a.m. Friday on the Public Safety Plaza near the intersection of Second and Brown Streets.
