Second U.S. 50 bridge slated for work in Jackson County
Another bridge repair project on U.S. 50 is expected to tie up traffic in Jackson County until mid June.
According to the Indiana Department of Transportation, the work on the U.S. 50 bridge over Guthrie Creek is set to begin Monday, March 30th. The bridge is on U.S. 50 between South County Road 870 West and North County Road 975 West. During the work, U.S. 50 will be reduced to a single lane and temporary traffic signals will be in place.
This is separate from another bridge project on U.S. 50 west of Brownstown near East Fork White River that was announced earlier this week.
The work is expected to be finished by mid-June. The work schedule is dependent on the weather.
E&B Paving will be doing the work on the project, which is part of a larger $6.8 million contract.
